Kuitukaapeli InfiniBand ShiverPeaks 77923/4 2 m

The ShiverPeaks InfiniBand fibre optic cable 77923/4 is a 2 m OM4 multimode link designed for high-speed data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter and LC connectors at both ends, the cable supports full-duplex InfiniBand connections commonly used in data center and enterprise networking environments. Its OM4 specification is intended to enable higher bandwidth over multimode infrastructure and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres.

Advantages

This 2 m OM4 fibre provides low attenuation and consistent optical performance for short- to medium-range links. The LC-to-LC connector format offers compact mating interfaces suitable for dense patch panels and network switches. Full-duplex signalling on both strands supports symmetric, high-throughput InfiniBand applications while the multimode OM4 fibre helps maintain signal integrity at higher data rates.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand interconnects in server racks and compute clusters
• High-speed links between switches and storage arrays within data centres
• Short- to medium-reach multimode fibre connections in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Length: 2 metres
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC
• Communication mode: Full duplex (bi-directional on separate fibres)

How to use

Route the cable between LC-compliant adapters or ports, ensuring connectors are clean before insertion to minimise optical loss. Align and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC receptacle until the latch engages. Use the two strands for separate transmit and receive channels as required by InfiniBand equipment. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable with appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and reduce stress on connector ends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, inspect and clean LC connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before installation, keep cable bend radius above the manufacturer’s minimum (typically 10× the cable diameter for multimode fibre), and terminate runs in labelled patch panels to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
