Kuparifolio 3M kuparifolio 16,5 m x 12 mm – johtava teippi

3M Copper Foil 16.5 m x 12 mm is a narrow conductive copper tape with a conductive adhesive backing designed for precise application in electronics. Its thin, flexible copper layer provides reliable electrical continuity for EMI/RFI shielding, grounding traces, and small-area repairs. The 12 mm width allows accurate placement in tight spaces, along seams and joints, and on component leads or PCB traces where space is limited.

Advantages

The tape combines a low-profile copper foil with a conductive adhesive to create effective shielding and grounding without adding bulk. Its flexibility and narrow width make it easy to conform to curved surfaces and to apply along seams or points of contact. The conductive adhesive ensures electrical continuity between joined surfaces, while the copper surface provides corrosion-resistant conductivity suitable for short- and medium-term electronic applications.

Suitable for

• EMI/RFI shielding of seams, enclosures, and cable entries
• Grounding continuity on PCBs, chassis, or wire terminations
• Trace repair and bridging on printed circuit boards
• DIY electronics projects, prototypes, and hobby repairs
• Improving contact between mating metal surfaces in assemblies

Key specifications

• Material: copper foil with conductive adhesive backing
• Length: 16.5 meters
• Width: 12 millimeters
• Form factor: thin, flexible tape suitable for narrow applications
• Typical applications: shielding, grounding, trace repair, electrical continuity

How to use

Clean and dry the application surface to remove oils, dust, or oxidation. Cut the required length of copper tape and apply it with steady pressure to ensure good adhesion and electrical contact. For shielding seams or enclosures, overlap adjacent strips slightly to maintain continuous coverage. For PCB trace repair, align the foil precisely over the damaged trace and press firmly; trim excess material and secure ends as needed. Use grounding points or conductive adhesives to ensure reliable electrical connection to chassis or ground planes.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid using the tape on highly corrosive environments or where long-term environmental sealing is required without additional protective coating. For permanent or high-reliability connections, verify contact resistance after application and consider mechanical fastening or soldering where appropriate.
