Replacement Image Transfer Unit Lexmark 41X1039 for Lexmark printers is a service part designed to transfer toner from the imaging drum to paper during the printing process. Intended for compatible Lexmark laser printers, this unit restores proper toner transfer, reduces streaks and light prints, and helps maintain consistent output quality in professional and office environments.

Advantages

The Image Transfer Unit improves print uniformity by ensuring even toner transfer across each sheet and reduces common print defects caused by worn transfer components. As a service part, it supports preventive maintenance and targeted repair, helping to extend the usable life of the printer and reduce downtime. Its design allows direct replacement with compatible Lexmark models, providing a predictable way to restore manufacturer-level performance.

Suitable for

• Maintenance and scheduled servicing of office Lexmark printers

• IT departments and service technicians performing component replacement
• Business environments that require reliable black-and-white or color laser output

Key specifications

• Function: image transfer of toner from imaging drum to media
• Compatibility: selected Lexmark laser printers (service part for compatible devices)
• Type: replaceable transfer unit designed for service/repair
• Intended use environment: professional and office printing

How to use

Turn the printer off and follow the manufacturer’s service instructions for accessing and removing the existing transfer unit. Reinstall toner cartridges, close service panels, and power the printer back on. Run a test print and any recommended calibration or cleaning cycle to confirm correct installation and restored print quality.

Recommendations

Replace the Image Transfer Unit when print quality deteriorates—visible streaks, bands, or reduced toner density are common indicators. Use genuine or manufacturer-recommended service parts and follow Lexmark maintenance intervals. Handle the unit carefully to avoid contact with sensitive surfaces, and dispose of the removed component according to local electronic waste regulations.
