KVM-kytkin SpeaKa Professional SP-4000672

The SpeaKa Professional 4 × 1 HDMI KVM switch (model SP-4000672) lets you control four computers with a single keyboard, mouse and HDMI monitor. The compact device has a metal case for improved shielding, supports HDMI v1.3 and HDCP and delivers a video bandwidth up to 2.25 Gbit/s with resolutions up to UXGA/1920 x 1200 (manufacturer specifies 1920 x 1080 in product data). It carries USB ports for keyboard and mouse connections and is compatible with a range of Windows and macOS systems. The unit measures 270 × 32 × 111 mm, weighs 0.8 kg and is powered by 5 V DC, 2 A.

Advantages

The KVM switch consolidates control of four computers into one set of peripherals and a single HDMI output, reducing desk clutter and simplifying workflow. A metal housing provides better high-frequency shielding, while front-panel switching offers direct, quick access to each connected system. HDMI v1.3 and HDCP compliance ensure compatibility with common monitors and media content. USB connectivity for keyboard and mouse supports standard input devices without extra adapters.

Suitable for

• Workstations that require switching between up to four PCs or Macs
• Small offices and shared desks where a single monitor/keyboard/mouse set is used
• Environments needing HD video output for presentations or monitoring

How to use

Connect each computer's HDMI and USB cables to one of the four input ports on the KVM switch. Connect the HDMI output to your monitor and plug your keyboard and mouse into the device's USB ports. Apply the 5 V DC power supply. Use the front-panel button to cycle between connected systems; the active computer's video and input devices will be switched to the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Ensure each computer recognises the connected USB input devices and that display settings match the supported resolution.

Recommendations

For stable operation, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the device's bandwidth and ensure connected computers have compatible HDMI/USB drivers installed. If you need to use audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio, verify your monitor or receiver supports these formats through HDMI; audio pass-through depends on the entire signal chain.
