KWB eristysveitsi Profi 173 mm – 173 mm eristeiden leikkuuveitsi, malli 015710

The KWB insulation knife Profi 173 mm (model 015710) is a purpose-built cutting tool for working with insulation materials. Featuring a 173 mm cutting edge, the knife is designed to deliver controlled, straight cuts in mineral wool, foam boards and other common insulation panels. The tool is intended for tasks that require accurate trimming, shaping and sizing of insulation to fit around structures, openings and fixtures.

Advantages

The knife offers a long, rigid blade that improves cutting accuracy and reduces the number of passes needed for through-cuts. The handle ergonomics provide a stable grip for steady control during detailed trimming. Constructed for frequent use, the tool balances blade length and handle design to make repetitive cutting less fatiguing for installers and home users. The blade profile and edge geometry are adapted to typical insulation densities to limit tearing and produce clean edges.

How to use

Place the insulation panel on a stable surface and mark the cutting line. Hold the knife with a firm grip and guide the 173 mm blade along the marked line, applying steady, even pressure. For thicker or denser materials, make several controlled passes rather than forcing a single deep cut. Use the long blade to reach and cut straight along edges or to create continuous cuts across panels. Replace or sharpen the blade as needed to maintain clean cuts and reduce material tearing.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and eye protection when cutting insulation. Work on a flat, stable surface and keep the blade clean from adhesive or fiber build-up. For repetitive professional use, inspect the handle and blade mounting regularly and replace the blade when it shows signs of dulling to ensure consistent results.
