TELTONIKA EYE Sensor BTSMP183CB02 is a compact indoor device that combines temperature and relative humidity measurement with a motion detector. It continuously monitors environmental conditions and presence in rooms, providing reliable data for building automation, climate control and facility management. The sensor connects to compatible TELTONIKA systems and can be integrated into smart home or commercial monitoring setups to support automated responses and alerts.

Advantages

The device delivers continuous temperature and humidity readings alongside motion detection in a single unit, reducing the need for multiple sensors. Its compact design allows for unobtrusive installation in offices, living spaces or technical rooms. Accurate environmental sensing enables timely alerts on deviations, while presence detection supports occupancy-based automation to improve energy efficiency and operational control.

Suitable for

• Smart home climate automation and presence detection
• Office environment monitoring and energy management
• Server room or equipment cabinets for environmental oversight
• Facility management systems requiring combined environmental and occupancy data

Key specifications

• Measured parameters: air temperature and relative humidity, motion detection
• Measurement method: continuous sensing of ambient conditions and movement
• Installation: indoor use, wall or shelf mounting in occupied spaces
• Form factor: compact sensor housing suitable for discreet placement
• Integration: designed to work with compatible TELTONIKA monitoring and automation systems

How to use

Place the sensor in the area to be monitored at a representative height and away from direct heat sources, open windows or ventilation outlets to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. Mount the unit on a wall or position it on a shelf following manufacturer instructions for secure placement. Connect and configure the sensor within the compatible TELTONIKA system or gateway to start receiving measurements and motion events. Calibrate system thresholds and notification rules in the management interface to match the specific operational requirements of the space.

Recommendations

For reliable environmental monitoring, avoid installing the sensor near radiators, air conditioners or direct sunlight. Regularly verify integration settings and update device firmware when updates are available to maintain compatibility and data accuracy. Use motion detection together with environmental thresholds to trigger automated HVAC adjustments or alerts for unplanned occupancy.
