The Laserliner MultiScanner Plus digital multi-detector locates ferrous and non-ferrous metals, live and dead wiring, and wall beams or joists in non-metallic drywall structures. The device shows metal depth and indicates whether detected metal is magnetic or non-magnetic. Live wiring under plaster or wooden panelling can be found to depths of up to 2 centimetres. The instrument provides visual and acoustic signals and an LCD bar display to indicate the position of detected objects, and includes automatic and manual calibration and a permanent voltage warning. The unit powers off automatically after a short period of inactivity to save energy.
