Lenovo Storage -kaapelisarja – sisäinen etukaapelikokoonpano 2,5 tuuman asemille (4X97A82935)

Lenovo Storage Cable Kit for 2.5" chassis front BP2 (model 4X97A82935) is an internal cable assembly created for BP2-compatible Lenovo servers and storage bays. The kit supplies the necessary front-mount connections for 2.5-inch drives, enabling drive detection and data/power routing inside the chassis. It is intended as a service or installation part to replace worn or damaged cables or to add missing front drive connections during system builds and maintenance.

Advantages

This cable kit provides factory-compatible fit and connector layout for BP2 front drive bays, helping restore proper drive connectivity without requiring chassis modification. The assembly supports standard 2.5" drive placement and is engineered to meet Lenovo's internal routing and retention requirements, simplifying installation and reducing downtime. Using an OEM-style cable preserves mechanical alignment and signal integrity for installed drives.

Suitable for

• Replacing damaged or faulty front 2.5" drive cables in BP2 Lenovo servers
• Completing new server or storage bay installations that require front-mount 2.5" drive connections
• Maintenance tasks where original cable routing and connector compatibility are required
• Service environments aiming to restore factory-standard internal drive connectivity

Key specifications

• Form factor: front-mount cable assembly for 2.5" drives
• Compatibility: designed for BP2 chassis and front drive bays in compatible Lenovo server/storage systems
• Function: internal data and power routing between front drive bay and system backplane or internal connector
• Connector types: factory-fit internal drive and system connectors (matches BP2 front bay layout)
• Construction: factory-assembled cable harness with retention features for chassis routing

How to use

Power down the system and follow safe service procedures before accessing internal components. Remove the chassis bezel or front panel as required to access the BP2 front drive bay area. Disconnect the existing or damaged cable from the drive and the system connector, then route the replacement cable following original harness paths and retention points. Secure connectors firmly to the drive and system backplane or internal header, reassemble the front panel, and power on the system to verify drive detection and operation.

Recommendations

Use anti-static precautions when handling internal cables and drives. Verify chassis and drive bay compatibility with the BP2 front-mount layout before installation. If drive detection issues occur after replacement, recheck connector seating, cable routing, and any chassis retention clips to ensure proper alignment and signal continuity.
