The LevelOne FVT-2002 is a Fast Ethernet media converter that converts signals between copper (RJ-45) and multimode fiber (ST) links. It supports 10Base-T and 100Base-TX auto-sensing on the copper side and a 100Base-FX fiber port operating at 1310 nm, allowing multimode fiber connections up to 2 km to extend network reach. The compact black unit can be used standalone or as a slide-in module for the CHV-2000 19” converter chassis.

Advantages

The FVT-2002 provides both full-duplex and half-duplex operation and auto-negotiation for copper speed and duplex mode. How to use

Connect the copper Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port and the multimode fiber to the ST connector. Configure the device using the DIP switches to enable or disable Smart LFP and set auto-negotiation or fixed transmission modes as required. Power the unit with the supplied 5 V adapter. Monitor link and activity LEDs to verify proper operation and connection status.
