Liitäntärasia Foscam FABS2

The Foscam FABS2 Junction Box is a weather-resistant accessory created for use with Foscam security dome cameras. Finished in white, the junction box provides a compact, organized enclosure for camera cables and connectors, reducing exposure to moisture and debris while improving the installation's visual appearance. Designed for outdoor and indoor mounting, it streamlines cable routing and secures connections to extend component life.

Advantages

The junction box offers a protected compartment that conceals and secures power and network cables, reducing the risk of corrosion and accidental disconnection. Its weather-resistant construction shields connectors from rain and dust, while the neutral white finish integrates with typical camera installations. The enclosure simplifies maintenance by providing easier access to junctions without disturbing the camera mount.

Suitable for

• Outdoor dome camera installations where cable protection from rain and dust is required
• Indoor camera installations that benefit from neat cable routing and concealed connections
• Wall or ceiling mounts that need a compact enclosure to organize power and network cables

Key specifications

• Color: white
• Compatibility: designed for Foscam outdoor dome camera models (e.g., SD2 series)
• Function: weather protection and cable management for camera connections
• Mounting: suitable for wall or ceiling mounting with concealed cable routing
• Material characteristics: durable, weather-resistant enclosure for outdoor use

How to use

Mount the junction box to a stable surface using appropriate fasteners for the mounting substrate, then route the camera power and network cables into the enclosure and connect them through the internal cable entries. Secure cable glands or seals as needed to maintain weather resistance, close the cover, and tighten any external screws to complete the installation. Verify that connections remain accessible for future maintenance without disturbing camera alignment.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, install the junction box with the cable entries facing downward or in a position that minimizes direct water ingress. Use appropriate outdoor-rated cable glands and sealants where cables pass through the enclosure to maintain weather resistance. Periodically inspect seals and mounting hardware to ensure continued protection against moisture and vandal exposure.
