The Vivotek AM-71B junction box provides a weather-resistant housing for secure installation and discreet cable management of compatible Vivotek security cameras. Designed to mount beneath camera housings or directly to walls and poles, the enclosure protects power and network connections from moisture, dust and accidental disconnection while keeping mounting hardware and adapters neatly contained. The product is intended to integrate with a range of outdoor Vivotek camera models to simplify installation and maintain a tidy surveillance setup.

Advantages

The junction box features a robust construction suited to outdoor environments and offers organized internal space for cable terminations and connectors. Its design reduces exposure of wiring to environmental elements and mechanical strain, helping preserve connection integrity over time. Compatibility with multiple Vivotek camera models and standard mounting points allows for flexible installation orientations and simplifies access during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Outdoor fixed and dome Vivotek cameras that require protected cable connections
• Wall- or pole-mounted surveillance installations in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
• Installations that need tidy cable routing and concealed connectors to reduce tampering

Key specifications

• Rigid enclosure designed for outdoor use with protection against moisture and dust
• Internal space for power supplies, PoE splitters or network termination points
• Compatible mounting footprint for a range of Vivotek camera housings and brackets
• Material selected for mechanical durability and resistance to environmental wear
• Concealed cable entry points to support secure, strain-relieved connections

How to use

Mount the junction box to a secure surface or compatible bracket using the provided mounting points, ensuring correct orientation for the chosen camera model. Route network and power cables into the enclosure through the entry points, complete terminations or install PoE splitters or adapters as required, and position connectors so they are seated without tension. Attach the camera to the box per the camera manufacturer’s mounting procedure and seal any external openings to maintain environmental protection. Verify connections and test camera operation before finalizing the cover and any external seals.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, use appropriate cable glands or weatherproof grommets at entry points, avoid routing cables across sharp edges, and perform periodic inspections for seal integrity and corrosion. Select installation locations that minimize direct exposure to extreme sunlight or heavy spray when practical.
