Liitinkotelo Harting Han 16B-asg2-QB-M32 IP65

Harting Socket housing Han 16B-asg2-QB-M32 IP65 is a robust connector housing designed for industrial signal and power connections. Engineered for environments that require reliable protection, the housing offers sealed mating and a secure M32 cable entry to maintain conductor integrity. It accommodates Han 16B series inserts and is suitable for installation on machinery, control cabinets and field equipment where a compact, sealed interface between cable harnesses and devices is required.

Advantages

The housing provides IP65-level protection against dust ingress and water jets, ensuring stable electrical performance in harsh conditions. Its sturdy construction resists mechanical stress and supports easy assembly with compatible Han 16B inserts. The integrated M32 cable gland simplifies cable routing and strain relief while preserving the enclosure’s sealing properties. Designed for repeatable mating cycles, the housing maintains consistent contact alignment and mechanical stability over time.

Suitable for

• Industrial machinery signal and power connections
• Control cabinet feed-throughs and panel interfaces
• Field installations requiring splash and dust protection
• Applications using Han 16B series inserts for mixed digital and power wiring

Key specifications

• Protection class: IP65 (against dust and low-pressure water jets)
• Cable entry: M32 gland for single cable routing and strain relief
• Compatibility: Designed for Han 16B series inserts
• Material: durable housing material suitable for industrial use (mechanical protection)
• Mounting: panel or surface-mountable housing suitable for cabinet or machine installation
• Operating environment: suitable for indoor and protected outdoor use where IP65 is sufficient

How to use

Select a compatible Han 16B insert and prepare the cable with appropriate conductor terminations. Install the insert into the housing according to the insert manufacturer’s instructions, route the cable through the M32 gland and tighten the gland to provide strain relief and maintain the IP65 seal. Mount the housing to the panel or machine using the provided mounting points, ensuring proper alignment for mating with the counterpart connector. Verify correct contact positions before energizing the circuit and perform routine inspections to confirm the sealing and mechanical integrity remain intact.

Recommendations

Use the housing in environments that match IP65 protection needs; for exposure to high-pressure washdowns or full immersion, select a higher protection class. When assembling, follow torque specifications for the cable gland and mounting hardware and use compatible Han 16B inserts rated for the expected voltage and current. Periodically check seals and cable strain relief to ensure ongoing protection and electrical safety.
