Lindy 300m CAT5 KVM-jatko Combo, USB ja VGA

The Lindy KVM Extender Combo lets you connect a USB keyboard and mouse plus a VGA monitor to a USB-equipped computer over distances up to 300 m using standard CAT5 or better cable. The kit includes a transmitter that stays at the computer end and a receiver for the remote workstation, enabling remote access to the host system while maintaining USB and VGA signal integrity across the cable run.

Advantages

The extender supports a single-user setup with separation of the computer and workstation by up to 300 m, reduces cable complexity by using standard CAT5/CAT6 cable, and preserves VGA video and USB HID device functionality. A local workstation connection at the receiver allows easy switching between the remote host and a nearby PC without moving the host machine.

Key specifications

• Connection type: VGA video and USB keyboard/mouse (HID)
• Cable: standard CAT5 or higher
• Maximum distance: up to 300 m
• Units: transmitter (at host) and receiver (at remote workstation)
• Functionality: allows separate local workstation connection at receiver for switching

How to use

Install the transmitter at the USB-equipped computer and connect its VGA and USB cables to the host. Run CAT5/CAT6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver at the remote workstation. Connect the remote VGA monitor and USB keyboard/mouse to the receiver. If required, connect a local PC to the receiver to enable switching between the local and remote hosts according to the device's switching method.

Recommendations

For reliable performance use high-quality CAT5e or CAT6 cable, keep cable runs away from strong electromagnetic sources, and verify that connected monitors and USB devices are compatible with VGA and USB HID standards.
