LoRaWAN Wi‑Fi kenttätestaaja Milesight FT101-868M — malli FT101-868M

The Milesight FT101-868M is a portable field tester for on-site diagnostics of LoRaWAN and Wi‑Fi networks. It provides measurements of signal strength, basic connectivity checks and coverage verification to support deployment and maintenance tasks. Designed for field engineers and technicians, the device combines essential radio testing functions in a compact handheld unit tailored to practical network troubleshooting and site surveys.

Advantages

The tester offers combined LoRaWAN and Wi‑Fi measurement capabilities in a single portable instrument, enabling quick verification of wireless coverage without needing multiple devices. Its compact form factor and straightforward interface facilitate fast on-site checks and repeatable measurements. The device focuses on core diagnostics—signal level readings and connectivity validation—making it suitable for routine network acceptance and problem isolation during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• On-site LoRaWAN coverage verification and signal profiling
• Wi‑Fi signal strength checks and basic connectivity tests
• Pre-deployment site surveys for gateways and access points
• Routine maintenance and troubleshooting by field technicians
• Quick validation of wireless links after configuration changes

Key specifications

• Supported radio bands: sub-GHz LoRaWAN (868 MHz regional band) and 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi
• Measurements: signal strength level reporting and basic connectivity verification
• Form factor: handheld, portable field tester
• User interface: on-device controls and readout suitable for rapid checks in the field
• Primary use: site survey, coverage assessment and troubleshooting for LoRaWAN and Wi‑Fi deployments

How to use

Power on the FT101-868M and select the radio mode required for the test (LoRaWAN or Wi‑Fi). Move around the site while observing signal level readouts to map coverage and identify weak spots. Perform simple connectivity checks to confirm whether end devices or access points are reachable and responding. Use consistent test positions and distances when comparing results to ensure repeatable assessments. Record measurements and notes during the survey to support later analysis and configuration adjustments.

Recommendations

Use the field tester in open areas and representative locations where end devices will operate, and complement measurements with gateway or access point logs when detailed protocol-level diagnostics are required. For consistent comparisons, maintain similar device orientation and height during sweeps and document environmental conditions that may affect radio propagation.
