Lyijyakku Yuasa NPC38-12 12V 38Ah

Yuasa NPC38-12 is a 12V lead-acid rechargeable battery with a nominal capacity of 38Ah, designed for standby and backup power applications. As a sealed lead-acid unit, it offers stable DC output, compact dimensions for installations with limited space, and compatibility with common charging and monitoring systems used in UPS, alarm, and telecommunications equipment.

Advantages

The NPC38-12 delivers reliable energy storage with a well-established lead-acid chemistry that tolerates varied ambient conditions and provides predictable discharge characteristics. Being a maintenance-free sealed design, it reduces the need for regular servicing compared with flooded batteries while still allowing straightforward replacement when service life is reached. Its balance of capacity and size makes it suitable for systems that require several hours of standby power without large footprint or complex installation.

Suitable for

• Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for small to medium systems
• Alarm and security systems
• Telecommunications backup power
• Emergency lighting and signage
• General DC power applications and small off-grid setups

Key specifications

• Nominal voltage: 12 V
• Nominal capacity: 38 Ah (at 20-hour rate)
• Battery type: Sealed lead-acid (valve-regulated)
• Typical application: Standby/backup power, cyclic use where applicable
• Terminal type: Industry-standard battery terminals suitable for rack and cabinet installations
• Recommended charging: Constant voltage with appropriate temperature compensation

How to use

Install the battery in a well-ventilated, dry environment within the temperature range recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Connect using the correct polarity and secure terminals to avoid loose connections. Use a charger or charging system configured for sealed lead-acid batteries and follow recommended charge voltages and float settings to preserve service life. Observe the system manufacturer's instructions for series or parallel connections to ensure balanced charging and to avoid overloading individual cells.

Recommendations

Store and operate the battery at moderate temperatures, keep terminals clean and protected against short circuits, and perform periodic capacity checks if used in critical standby applications. Replace the battery at the end of its rated service life or when capacity falls below the operational requirement. Dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations for lead-acid battery recycling.
