Maadoituskisko Televes ERD6N 6HF-kaapelille

The Televes ERD6N grounding/earthing rail is built to provide a stable and accessible grounding point for 6HF coaxial cable installations. Constructed from metal with a shape and hole spacing suitable for professional TV/SAT and coaxial systems, this rail enables technicians to connect cable shields and bonding conductors to a single dedicated terminal, ensuring controlled discharge of fault and static currents to earth.

Advantages

This grounding rail offers a compact, robust mounting option that simplifies cable bonding in racks, distribution panels, and wall-mounted enclosures. Its design supports reliable mechanical and electrical contact with cable shields and bonding straps, reducing installation time and helping maintain consistent grounding continuity across the system. The rail is compatible with standard fasteners for secure installation on panels or DIN-style supports.

Suitable for

• Professional TV/SAT headends and distribution racks
• Coaxial cable installations using 6HF cable
• Bonding and earthing points in equipment racks and mounting panels
• Situations requiring a single accessible grounding terminal for multiple cable shields

Key specifications

• Material: metal conductor rail designed for grounding applications
• Compatibility: intended for use with 6HF coaxial cable
• Mounting: suitable for attachment to racks, panels or enclosures using standard fasteners
• Function: provides a common earthing point for cable shields and bonding conductors

How to use

Mount the rail on a stable surface in the rack or panel area where cable shields and bonding conductors are accessible. Strip the cable shield or attach the bonding conductor to the rail using appropriate clamps or lugs that ensure firm mechanical and electrical contact. Tighten fasteners to manufacturer-recommended torque values for clamps and lugs where available, and connect the rail to the facility earth/ground using a suitably sized conductor to complete the protective earthing path.

Recommendations

Ensure all connections are made following local electrical codes and grounding best practices; verify continuity to the main earthing system after installation and use corrosion-resistant hardware in outdoor or high-humidity environments.
