Ravensburger CreArt ART Collection The Great Wave Hokusai 23690 — paint-by-number art set provides a numbered, pre-printed canvas or panel with matching acrylic paints, brushes and step-by-step instructions to recreate Katsushika Hokusai's iconic wave. The kit is designed for adults and teens who want to learn basic painting techniques, practice color matching and produce a frame-ready artwork. Contents are arranged so users can follow numbers to apply each color and gradually build the finished image without prior painting experience.

Advantages

The set simplifies the painting process by using a clear numbering system and supplied paints that correspond to the marked areas on the canvas. Included brushes are sized to handle both larger areas and smaller details, while the pre-printed support keeps proportions and composition accurate. The materials are selected for hobby use to deliver consistent coverage and predictable drying behavior, enabling a neat final result that can be displayed at home.

Suitable for

• Beginners learning basic painting and color application
• Teens and adults seeking a structured creative activity
• Relaxation and mindful hobby sessions
• Creating ready-to-display decorative artwork for home or office

Key specifications

• Pre-printed canvas or panel with numbered areas for paint-by-number use
• Set of water-based acrylic paints matched to the numbered sections
• Assortment of brushes for large fills and fine details
• Instruction sheet with step-by-step guidance and color references
• Designed for adult and teen users; no advanced painting skills required

How to use

Unpack the kit and lay the pre-printed canvas or panel on a flat surface. Arrange the paints and open the instruction sheet to identify color numbers. Start with larger, lighter areas to establish background tones, then progress to smaller and darker details. Rinse brushes between colors and allow painted sections to dry before painting adjacent areas to avoid smudging. Follow the numbered guide patiently, applying one color at a time until the full motif is completed. Once dry, the finished artwork can be framed or mounted for display.

Recommendations

Work in a well-lit, ventilated area and protect the workspace with a disposable cover. Use a cup of clean water and paper towels to keep brushes clean; mix small amounts of paint at a time to preserve unused paint. For best results, apply thin, even layers and allow full drying between layers. Store remaining paints tightly closed and in a cool place.
