Manhattan 150958 USB-A - USB-A -jatkokaapeli

USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable (USB-A to USB-A, male to female) with a 20 m length, built-in repeater and daisy-chain capability. The Manhattan 150958 extension cable supports Hi-Speed USB data transfer up to 480 Mbps, preserves signal integrity over long runs and is bus powered so no external power supply is required. Suitable for connecting enclosures and other peripherals where the standard USB distance limit is exceeded.

Advantages

The active repeater in the cable extends and boosts the USB signal to connected devices while maintaining electrical and timing specifications for Hi-Speed USB operation. It supports data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps and overcomes the typical 20 m (65 ft.) USB distance limitation; two cables can be daisy-chained for a total reach of 40 m (131 ft.). The cable is plug-and-play, compatible with Windows and Mac systems, requires no drivers and is bus powered. The product is covered by a three-year warranty.

Suitable for

• Extending USB connections to external hard drives and enclosures
• Connecting USB peripherals (printers, scanners, webcams) located far from the host computer
• Temporary or permanent installations in offices, labs or classrooms requiring longer USB runs
• Daisy-chaining two active extensions to reach up to 40 m (131 ft.)

How to use

Plug the male USB-A connector into the host computer USB port and connect the female USB-A end to the USB device or to another extension cable for daisy-chaining. The built-in repeater will maintain signal quality along the run. No driver installation or external power supply is required for standard USB devices; the cable draws power from the host USB port. Verify device compatibility with USB 2.0/USB 1.1 specifications for optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results, connect USB peripherals that comply with USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 standards and avoid using multiple passive adapters in the chain. When daisy-chaining two active extensions, verify that the combined setup meets the power requirements of the connected device; some high-current devices may require a powered hub close to the device.
