Märklin 38462 H0 sähkömoottorijuna Desiro HC DB AG:lta, sarja 1462/1862

The Märklin 38462 captures the Siemens Desiro HC as operated by Deutsche Bahn AG, modelled as a four-part electric multiple unit in H0 scale. Unlike a single locomotive, this set reproduces the complete train with two end cars and two intermediate cars, finished in the current DB livery and equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder for extensive sound and light functions.

Highlights

• Prototype: Siemens Desiro HC, DB AG class 1462/1862, Era VI
• Four-unit set with die-cast metal chassis and detailed plastic body
• mfx+ decoder with driving sounds, horn, station announcements, and door sounds
• Directional LED headlights, marker lights, cab lighting, and interior lighting
• Digital control of pantograph movement
• Current-conducting close couplers between units
• Total length over buffers: 1182 mm
• Minimum operating radius: 360 mm

In daily use

On a Märklin AC three-rail layout, the train runs smoothly thanks to its controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel. The decoder supports Märklin Digital, DCC, and Motorola formats, so it integrates into most command stations. Pre-programmed scenarios and the movable pantograph add operational interest, while the interior lighting makes the passenger areas visible even in low light.
