Mediamuunnin kotelo LevelOne POC-4001 8-paikkainen

The POC-4001 8-Bay Media Converter Chassis is a 19" 4U rack-mountable frame that accommodates up to eight VDS-0200, VDS-0201 or VDS-0202 modules to create a central VDSL2 8-port multiplexer. It enables point-to-point Ethernet extension over single-pair copper or coaxial cable using compatible VDS modules, supporting flexible step-by-step system growth without upfront purchase of all hardware.

Advantages

The chassis supports mixed VDS-0200/0201 and VDS-0202 modules and works with remote VDS-0200/0201 units as a central VDSL2 mux. It is compact and space-saving with standard 19" 4U form factor, provides plug-and-play expansion for quick installation, includes two DC fans for thermal ventilation, and has a 250V 2A fuse for basic electrical protection.

Key specifications

• Module capacity: up to 8 VDS-0200 / VDS-0201 / VDS-0202
• Form factor: standard 19" 4U chassis, rack-mountable
• Cooling: two DC electric fans for ventilation
• Protection: 250V 2A fuse
• Compatibility: works with VDS-0200/0201/0202 modules; supports remote VDS-0200/0201 as central VDSL2 8-port mux
• Installation: plug-and-play for system expansion

How to use

Install the POC-4001 in a standard 19" rack and insert up to eight compatible VDS modules. Connect module ports to copper pair or coaxial cabling according to the VDS module instructions. Power the chassis, confirm fans operate and check the fuse rating before energizing. Use plug-and-play pairing with remote VDS-0200/0201 units to form point-to-point VDSL2 links and scale the system by adding modules as demand increases.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, install the chassis in a ventilated rack location, monitor fan operation and replace the 250V 2A fuse with the same rating when necessary. Use appropriate VDS module types for the intended media (single-pair copper or coaxial) and follow module distance/rate settings to match line conditions.
