The ASUS ROG Strix Scope II X is a full-size (100%) wired mechanical gaming keyboard with USB connectivity and a Swiss layout. It features hot-swappable mechanical switches, RGB LED backlighting, an integrated detachable wrist rest and a 2 m cable. Designed for extended gaming sessions, the keyboard combines a full numeric keypad, dedicated streaming hotkeys and multifunction controls to support both gameplay and media tasks.

Advantages

The keyboard’s hot-swappable ROG NX mechanical switches V2 allow switch replacement without soldering, enabling customization of typing feel and acoustics. RGB LED illumination with per-key lighting options and a unique UV-coated ROG spacebar with underside LEDs provide adaptable visual feedback. Integrated sound-dampening foam reduces ping and echo for quieter operation, while durable PBT doubleshot or UV-coated ABS keycaps resist shine and maintain a consistent texture. The detachable wrist rest and three tilt positions support ergonomic positioning during long sessions.

Suitable for

• PC gaming where a full-size layout and numeric keypad are required
• Streamers and content creators who use dedicated hotkeys for recording and overlays
• Users who want a hot-swappable mechanical keyboard to change switches without soldering
• Mixed use: gaming, typing and media control with dedicated multifunction wheel and buttons

When it may not be suitable

This wired, full-size keyboard may not be ideal for users who need a compact or portable layout such as tenkeyless or 60% designs, or for those who require wireless connectivity. If you prefer a different keyboard language or layout than Swiss, this model may not match your preferred key legends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the keyboard on a stable surface and ensure the USB connection is direct to the PC or a powered hub. Use the provided software to set lighting and hotkey profiles before streaming or competitive play. When replacing switches or keycaps, power off the system and handle components with care to avoid damage to hot-swap sockets and stabilizers.
