Microconnect B-UTP515G verkkokaapeli vihreä 15 m Cat5e U/UTP (UTP)

The Microconnect B-UTP515G Networking Cable Green 15m Cat5e U/UTP RJ-45 is a 15 metre Cat5e patch lead designed for wired Ethernet connections up to 1000 Mbit/s. The cable uses unshielded twisted pair construction with an overall U/UTP arrangement and terminated RJ-45 plugs at both ends. Its green jacket provides easy visual identification in structured cabling environments while maintaining standard physical flexibility and compatibility with common network equipment.

Advantages

This Cat5e cable supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suitable for typical office and home network setups. The U/UTP configuration reduces crosstalk between twisted pairs compared with unstructured cables, and the molded RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact with network ports. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of devices without adding intermediate couplers, and the colored jacket simplifies cable management in racks and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops or network printers to routers, switches and hubs
• Patch connections between wall outlets and network switches in offices or server rooms
• Home network setups supporting IPTV, streaming and gaming with wired reliability

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 15 m
• Maximum data rate: 1000 Mbit/s
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Cable construction: U/UTP (unshielded pairs with overall unshielded jacket)
• Colour: Green
• Approximate weight: 0.7 kg

How to use

Ensure both network devices are powered off or that hot-plugging is supported by your equipment. Insert one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of the first device and the other connector into the port of the second device until the latch clicks into place. Verify the link status LEDs on connected devices to confirm network negotiation. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and avoid running parallel to heavy power cables to reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep cable bend radius above the manufacturer’s minimum (avoid tight coils), secure the cable with cable ties or organizers without over-tightening, and, where possible, separate network cables from mains power lines. Use this Cat5e lead for short to medium runs up to 15 m; for longer backbones or higher bandwidth requirements consider higher category cables.
