Microconnect KAB030-305 verkkokaapeli harmaa 305 m Cat5e F/UTP (FTP)

The Microconnect KAB030-305 is a 305 m long Cat5e networking cable designed for indoor and home use. The cable is non-terminated and supplied in a box, with F/UTP shielding to reduce external interference and support reliable data transmission up to 1000 Mbit/s. Its grey colour suits professional and residential installations where a discreet appearance is required.

Advantages

F/UTP shielding improves immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded variants. The 305 m length on a box enables longer continuous runs without splicing and simplifies installation in larger rooms or between floors. Being non-terminated, the cable allows flexible termination choices to match connectors and patch panels on site.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in homes and small offices
• Patch panels and wall outlets where custom termination is needed
• Runs requiring up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet) over Cat5e

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route before installation, allowing service loops and avoiding sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Cut the required length from the boxed cable and terminate both ends using compatible RJ45 connectors or punch down to patch panels or keystone jacks according to standard Cat5e wiring (TIA/EIA 568). Test each link with a cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity, and bandwidth capability.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain proper bend radius and avoid tight bends or crushing. Use grounding and proper cable management when integrating the F/UTP cable into cabinets or conduits. Match termination methods and connectors to Cat5e standards and verify links after installation.
