Milesight WS302 LoRaWAN äänitasoanturi — WS302-868M, akustinen valvonta

The Milesight WS302 LoRaWAN sound level sensor is designed for continuous acoustic monitoring and noise measurement in distributed deployments. Model WS302-868M connects to LoRaWAN networks to transmit ambient sound level data to a central platform, enabling remote observation of environmental noise. The compact device supports long-term deployment for applications such as smart city noise control, building management and regulatory compliance monitoring.

Advantages

The sensor provides reliable remote sound level readings over LoRaWAN networks with low power consumption and straightforward integration into existing IoT platforms. Its compact form factor and weather-resistant enclosure allow flexible placement in indoor and outdoor locations. Data can be collected continuously or at scheduled intervals to support trend analysis and automated alerts.

Suitable for

• Environmental noise monitoring in urban and suburban areas
• Smart city noise management and municipal compliance checks
• Building and facility noise assessment for HVAC and equipment
• Construction site monitoring to verify permitted sound levels
• Long-term acoustic data collection for research and analytics

Key specifications

• Measurement type: ambient sound level (acoustic monitoring)
• Connectivity: LoRaWAN network communication
• Power: low-power design suitable for battery operation or external power
• Deployment: compact enclosure for indoor and outdoor use
• Data reporting: periodic and configurable transmission intervals

How to use

Install the WS302-868M at a representative location where ambient sound should be measured, avoiding direct obstructions to the microphone. Mount the sensor following site-specific mounting points and connect power if using external power; otherwise install batteries per manufacturer guidance. Register the device on a compatible LoRaWAN network server and configure reporting intervals and thresholds in the cloud or local platform to suit monitoring objectives. Verify data reception and calibrate monitoring parameters as required for accurate logging.

Recommendations

For consistent results, position the sensor at recommended heights away from reflective surfaces and strong localized noise sources. Use regular maintenance checks and periodic calibration to ensure measurement accuracy. Select transmission intervals that balance data resolution and power consumption according to monitoring needs.
