MPO-4xLC monimuotokuitu OM4 patch-kaapeli 2 metriä BlueOptics FG-TRAN-QSFP-4SFP-2

The BlueOptics MPO-4xLC Multimode OM4 Patch Cable 2 Meter (FG-TRAN-QSFP-4SFP-2) is a 2 m multimode fiber patch lead designed for high-density network environments and data centres. It converts an MPO connector to four LC duplex terminations and uses OM4 multimode fibre to support short-range, high-speed links. The cable is intended for interconnects between switches, routers, transceivers and server ports where compact multi-fibre connections are required. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification for network installation.

Advantages

This MPO to 4xLC OM4 cable offers a compact, space-saving solution for aggregating multiple LC links from a single MPO trunk. OM4 multimode fibre reduces modal dispersion for improved performance on short-reach 10G/40G/100G connections and helps maintain low insertion loss. High-quality MPO and LC connectors ensure consistent mating performance and reliable signal transmission in rack-mounted and patch-panel installations. The 2 metre length balances reach and cable management in dense rack layouts.

How to use

Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Plug the MPO end into the corresponding MPO trunk or cassette and connect the four LC ends to the destination LC ports or transceiver modules. Ensure connectors are clean before mating; use appropriate dust caps until installation is complete. Confirm link status on connected devices and, if necessary, perform optical loss or continuity testing after installation to verify signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, clean all fibre endfaces with approved cleaning tools before connection, secure the cable to prevent strain on connectors, and avoid routing near strong EMI sources despite fibre immunity to electromagnetic interference. Use in-cabinet management to minimise bend, and choose OM4 multimode for short-reach applications where higher bandwidth and lower modal dispersion are required.
