Muovinen pienoismallirakennussarja REVELL Blohm & Voss BV 222 mittakaava 1:72

REVELL Plastic Model Kit Blohm & Voss BV 222 1:72 scale is a detailed assembly kit that recreates the WWII-era large flying boat in miniature. The kit contains injection-moulded plastic parts arranged on sprues, clear parts for windows, and decals for typical wartime markings. Designed for hobbyists and model builders, this 1:72 scale replica aims to provide an accurate external representation of the original Blohm & Voss BV 222 suitable for display on a shelf, in a diorama or as part of a historical collection. Glue, paint and basic modelling tools are required but not included.

Advantages

The kit offers finely moulded exterior surfaces and separate control surfaces which allow realistic assembly and painting. Scale-accurate proportions and printed decals help achieve an authentic appearance once painted. Parts layout on the sprues is organised to facilitate assembly, and clear parts provide glazing for cockpit and cabin windows. The model’s size in 1:72 scale balances display presence with manageable build complexity.

Suitable for

• Model builders experienced with plastic kits and scale aircraft
• Historical aviation dioramas and display models
• Collectors of WWII aircraft replicas
• Educational displays and museum models

Key specifications

• Scale: 1:72
• Material: injection-moulded polystyrene plastic with clear parts for glazing
• Model type: multi-part assembly kit representing a large flying boat
• Includes printed waterslide decals for authentic markings
• Assembly complexity: suitable for intermediate to advanced modellers

How to use

Carefully remove parts from sprues using a hobby knife or sprue cutter, clean any moulding flash and test-fit components before gluing. Follow the included instruction leaflet to assemble fuselage, wings, floats and tail surfaces in the recommended sequence. Paint parts prior to final assembly where necessary and apply decals after the appropriate paint and clearcoat have cured. Use model glue formulated for polystyrene and follow safety guidance on adhesives and paints.

Recommendations

For best results, use fine-grit sandpaper to smooth joints, primer before final paint layers, and a setting solution for waterslide decals to ensure firm adhesion and realistic weathering techniques to match historical finishes.
