The ASUS ROG Falcata is a 75% gaming keyboard with USB, RF wireless (ROG SpeedNova), and Bluetooth connectivity. It uses hot‑swappable ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches with adjustable actuation, an ROG Hall Sensor for precise input detection, per‑key RGB backlighting and a detachable silicone wrist rest designed to match the keyboard’s tilt and incline. The compact layout keeps essential keys while saving desk space for mouse movement.

Advantages

The split-keyboard concept allows the left module to be repositioned or removed to free space for the mousing hand. Hot‑swappable magnetic‑mechanical switches provide tunable 0.1–3.5 mm actuation with 0.01 mm steps for precise customization. The ROG Hall Sensor reduces electrical noise and increases magnetic flux limits for consistent, accurate key detection. Multiple connectivity options (ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless, wired USB and Bluetooth) support up to five paired devices and offer wired and wireless modes with up to an 8K polling rate. Built‑in four‑layer dampening reduces pinging and gives a cushioned typing feel, and the multi‑function wheel and button let you quickly adjust actuation point, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, volume, media and lighting.

Suitable for

PC and laptop gaming where desk space is limited
Players who need adjustable actuation and fast key response
Users who switch between multiple devices via USB, RF wireless and Bluetooth
Typing and gaming sessions requiring wrist support and reduced key noise

Key specifications

Polling rate: Up to 8K (wired and wireless modes)

How to use

Connect the keyboard to your PC via the supplied USB cable for wired use or pair it using the RF wireless dongle or Bluetooth for wireless operation. Install ASUS Armoury Crate software if you want to adjust lighting, program keys or fine‑tune actuation and Rapid Trigger sensitivity. Use the multi‑function wheel and button on the keyboard to change actuation, volume and lighting on the fly. Hot‑swappable switches can be replaced by pulling the switch module and inserting a compatible ROG HFX V2 magnetic switch per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

For a stable wireless connection and lowest latency, use the ROG SpeedNova RF dongle when gaming competitively; keep firmware and Armoury Crate updated and position the left module to suit your preferred mouse space. Clean the silicone wrist rest regularly with mild soap and water and avoid using abrasive cleaners on keycaps or switch contacts.

Loppuarvio: The Asus ROG Falcata would slide straight into the top of my gaming keyboard recommendations, if it weren't for its price and niche value proposition. This is far and away the best set of Hall effect switches I've used so far, but only very few players wi...
