Neutraalitiheys- ja polarisaatiosuodatin Freewell ND64/PL Mini 5 Pro

Freewell ND64/PL for Mini 5 Pro combines a 6-stop neutral density filter with a polariser in a single element engineered for aerial and handheld photography and videography. It reduces incoming light by six stops to allow slower shutter speeds or wider apertures in bright conditions, while the polarising layer reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces and increases colour saturation and contrast. Designed to fit the optical mount of the Mini 5 Pro, this filter helps stabilize exposure, produce more natural skies and manage highlights during motion capture.

Advantages

The combined ND64/PL construction provides both light reduction and reflection control without stacking separate filters, maintaining a compact optical profile and reducing vignetting. Six stops of density enable longer exposures and smoother motion blur for cinematic footage in daylight. The polarising function improves colour fidelity and reduces unwanted glare from water, glass and foliage, supporting more accurate automatic exposure and less post-processing. The filter glass and frame are matched to the Mini 5 Pro to preserve image sharpness and maintain reliable mechanical fit.

Suitable for

• Aerial videography to smooth motion and prevent overexposure in bright sunlight
• Landscape photography for deeper skies and reduced reflections on water
• Handheld cinematic shots where controlled shutter speeds create natural motion blur
• Scenes with reflective surfaces such as glass, wet pavement or foliage

Key specifications

• Light reduction: 6 stops (ND64)
• Polarising type: linear/circular polariser integrated
• Optical material: multi-coated optical glass
• Mount compatibility: designed for Mini 5 Pro lens mount
• Finish: low-profile aluminium frame to reduce vignetting

How to use

Attach the Freewell ND64/PL directly to the lens mount specified for the Mini 5 Pro, ensuring a secure, flush fit. Rotate the polariser element to adjust reflection suppression and sky contrast while observing the live preview on your device; stop rotation when the desired effect is achieved. Use the 6-stop ND to lower shutter speed or widen aperture for motion blur or shallower depth of field in bright light. Check exposure and histogram after attaching the filter and make incremental adjustments to shutter speed or ISO as required.

Recommendations

When shooting with high-contrast scenes, combine the ND64/PL with exposure compensation and histogram monitoring rather than relying solely on automatic metering. Rotate the polariser slowly to avoid cross-polarisation artifacts when shooting through multiple layers of glass or using other filters. Store the filter in a protective case when not in use and clean the glass with a microfiber cloth and appropriate lens cleaner to maintain coatings and image quality.
