Ocun Habu Blue Tube -varmistuslaite urheilu- ja sisäkiipeilyyn

The Ocun Habu stands out among tube-style belay devices with its remarkably light 68-gram aluminium body and aggressive V-shaped braking grooves, delivering high friction without the bulk. Built for single-rope sport climbing and gym sessions, it handles ropes from 8.9 mm to 10.5 mm, while also accepting half and twin ropes down to 7.8 mm for versatile trad use. The anodized finish resists wear and keeps the blue colour vivid through countless belays.

Highlights

• High-friction V-shaped braking grooves for confident catches
• Ultra-light 68 g aluminium construction reduces rack weight
• Compatible with single, half, and twin ropes
• Anodized surface improves durability and grip
• CE 0408 and EN 15151-2 certified for safety

In daily use

The Habu's compact size fits easily on a harness gear loop, and its smooth rope channels allow controlled lowering and rappelling. The high braking power means less hand force is needed to hold a fall, which is especially welcome on long sport pitches. When belaying a leader, the device feeds rope smoothly with minimal friction, reducing rope drag and keeping the climber moving efficiently.
