OBDeleven-adapteri AutoTune-adapteri VAG 2x2 OBD-II:een

The AutoTune OBDeleven adapter Przejściówka VAG 2x2 to OBD-II is an interface accessory that converts legacy VAG 2x2 diagnostic ports to a standard OBD-II connector. Designed for workshops, DIY mechanics and vehicle technicians working on Volkswagen Group vehicles that still use the 2x2 connector, this adapter enables the use of modern OBD-II scanners and smartphone interfaces with VAG-specific diagnostic sockets.

Advantages

This adapter provides a direct mechanical and electrical connection between VAG 2x2 ports and OBD-II devices, reducing the need to change diagnostic tools when switching between vehicle generations. The compact form factor simplifies access in tight engine bays and under dashboards. Made to industry wiring conventions, the adapter preserves signal integrity required for fault reading, basic diagnostics and coding when used with compatible scanners and applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting OBD-II diagnostic tools to Volkswagen Group vehicles with a VAG 2x2 connector
• Reading and clearing fault codes and viewing live sensor data via a standard OBD-II interface
• Using smartphone-based diagnostic apps and Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi OBD-II interfaces on older VAG models

Key specifications

• Connector type: VAG 2x2 (vehicle side) to standard OBD-II (tool side)
• Compatibility: Converts physical connector pinout to OBD-II form factor for diagnostic signal access
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter designed for tight installation spaces
• Signal support: Diagnostic communication lines required for fault code reading and basic coding via supported scanners
• Construction: Durable housing and molded terminals for repeated insertion and removal

How to use

Locate the vehicle’s VAG 2x2 diagnostic port, usually positioned under the dashboard or near the driver footwell, and align the adapter’s VAG 2x2 plug with the vehicle socket. Insert the adapter until it seats securely, then connect the OBD-II diagnostic tool or smartphone OBD-II interface to the adapter’s OBD-II receptacle. Power on the diagnostic device or app and follow the scanner’s connection procedure to establish communication. After diagnostics are complete, remove the adapter by pulling it straight out to avoid bending pins.

Recommendations

Use this adapter only with compatible diagnostic tools and vehicle models that employ a VAG 2x2 connector. Verify that your scan tool or smartphone interface supports the required communication protocols for the target vehicle. Avoid forcing the connector and keep contacts clean and dry to maintain reliable signal transmission.
