Ohituspuutarhasakset Bahco P160-SL-90

The Bahco P160-SL-90 bypass lopper is a precision cutting tool designed for controlled pruning and trimming of live branches up to 4.5 cm in diameter. With a total length of 900 mm and lightweight aluminium handles, this lopper balances reach and maneuverability while keeping overall weight low at approximately 1.16 kg. The bypass blades deliver clean cuts on green wood, helping to reduce damage to plants and support healthy regrowth. Its build and geometry are intended for routine garden maintenance and professional pruning tasks where accuracy and operator comfort matter.

Advantages

The tool’s bypass blade design ensures accurate, shearing cuts that are gentler on living stems compared with anvil-style cutters. Aluminium handles reduce the tool’s weight without sacrificing strength, making the lopper easier to use for extended periods. The 900 mm length provides improved reach for mid-height branches while maintaining good control for precise cutting. Overall construction emphasizes a balance of durability, low weight and cutting performance suitable for regular garden work.

Suitable for

• Pruning fresh, living branches and shoots up to 4.5 cm diameter
• Routine garden maintenance and shrub shaping
• Home and small-scale professional landscaping tasks
• Trimming mid-height branches where a 900 mm reach is sufficient

Key specifications

• Cutting system: bypass blade for clean shearing cuts
• Maximum cutting capacity: up to 45 mm diameter
• Total length: 900 mm for extended reach
• Handle material: lightweight aluminium for reduced fatigue
• Weight: approximately 1.16 kg for improved maneuverability

How to use

Position the bypass blades around the branch so the cutting edge passes the stationary blade in a shearing action. For best results, make cuts at a slight angle just above a bud or junction to encourage healthy regrowth. Use smooth, steady pressure rather than twisting to avoid damaging the blade or plant tissue. For branches near the maximum capacity, support the limb to prevent splitting and make the cut in one controlled motion.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect and clean the blades after use, remove sap and debris, and lightly oil the pivot to maintain smooth operation. Sharpen or professionally service the blades when cutting performance declines. Store the lopper in a dry place to prevent corrosion and prolong service life.
