Ohjain HTC HTC Controller 2.0 2018

The HTC Controller 2.0 2018 is a handheld input device designed for use with HTC head-mounted displays. It provides six-degrees-of-freedom motion tracking, analogue inputs and tactile buttons to translate real-world hand movement into virtual actions. The controller's ergonomic ring and balanced weight distribution are intended to reduce fatigue during extended VR sessions while delivering responsive controls for gaming, simulations and interactive applications.

Advantages

The controller offers precise motion tracking and low-latency input recognition to improve hand presence in virtual environments. Its ergonomic shape and adjustable strap contribute to comfortable handling and secure fit during active use. Built-in battery and efficient power management enable multiple hours of continuous operation, and the controller is compatible with a range of HTC headsets and supported software platforms.

Suitable for

• Room-scale and seated VR gaming where motion-based interaction is required
• Training simulations and professional VR applications that use hand tracking and controller input
• Interactive experiences and 3D design tools that need precise pointing and selection

Key specifications

• Motion tracking: 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) for position and orientation sensing
• Controls: analogue thumbstick, trigger, grip button and additional tactile buttons
• Connectivity: wireless pairing with compatible HTC headsets
• Power: rechargeable internal battery with multiple hours of runtime per charge
• Ergonomics: lightweight ring controller design with adjustable strap for secure fit

How to use

Pair the controller with a compatible HTC headset following the headset's pairing procedure. Power on the controller and ensure it is charged before use. Hold the controller with a relaxed grip, secure the strap around your wrist, and use the thumbstick and buttons to navigate menus and interact with virtual objects. During gameplay or applications, maintain clear line of sight to the headset's sensors if required by the tracking system and follow on-screen calibration prompts for accurate tracking.

Recommendations

Charge the controller before the first use and periodically recharge to maintain optimal battery health. Inspect the strap and housing for damage before active sessions, and keep firmware updated via the headset or supporting software to ensure compatibility and tracking performance.
