Optinen AOC-kaapeli BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-BR-BO — 25 m SFP28–SFP28, uros/uros, minttu

BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-25M-BR-BO is a 25 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends. The cable is designed for short- to mid-range high-speed links in data centres and network racks, providing a lightweight, compact fibre connection for servers, switches and storage systems. The mint-coloured assembly weighs approximately 0.15 kg and follows SFP28 form-factor conventions for direct module-to-module connectivity.

Advantages

The AOC design integrates a transmitter and receiver on each end for optical signal conversion and uses multimode fibre to support duplex high-speed data transmission. As an active optical solution it combines low cable attenuation and immunity to electromagnetic interference with the compact, pluggable convenience of SFP28 modules. The mint colour and lightweight construction simplify identification and cable management in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Short- to mid-range interconnects between SFP28 ports in data centre switches and routers
• Direct connections between servers and storage systems that support SFP28 modules
• High-speed 25 Gbit/s Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet links within a rack or across adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connectors: SFP28 to SFP28 (male/male)
• Typical data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Cable type: active optical cable using multimode fibre with integrated transceiver electronics
• Weight: 0.15 kg
• Colour: mint

How to use

Insert each SFP28 plug into the host SFP28 ports until the module latches according to the equipment vendor instructions. Ensure both devices support SFP28 modules and the intended 25 Gbit/s protocol (for example 25GBASE-SR4 or compatible high-speed Ethernet/FCoE modes). Verify link status and module recognition in the host management interface after connection. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radii for multimode fibre to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short- to mid-range links within racks or between adjacent racks where a compact, low-weight optical connection is required. Confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and the supported signalling standards before deployment. Handle by the connector housings and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress.
