Optinen audiokaapeli B-run shiverpeaks BASIC S 2,2 mm Toslink–Toslink 20 m

B-run shiverpeaks BASIC S 2.2 mm Toslink to Toslink 20 m is an optical fibre audio cable designed for digital S/PDIF signal transmission between audio and video components. The cable features a 2.2 mm outer jacket and Toslink connectors at both ends, enabling reliable lightwave transfer of digital audio over a 20 metre run. Its optical design provides galvanic isolation and natural immunity to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, making it suitable for connecting AV receivers, soundbars, CD players, TVs and other devices that use Toslink interfaces.

Advantages

The cable delivers consistent digital audio transmission without ground loops or electrical interference thanks to its optical fibre construction. The 2.2 mm jacket offers flexibility for routing along walls or through conduits while maintaining signal integrity over the 20 m length. Toslink terminations on both ends ensure compatibility with a wide range of consumer AV equipment and provide a plug-and-play connection for S/PDIF optical ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting AV receivers to soundbars or home theatre systems
• Linking TVs to external audio systems
• Connecting CD, DVD or Blu-ray players to amplifiers or receivers
• Replacing existing optical cables for longer runs up to 20 m

Key specifications

• Cable type: optical fibre (lightwave) audio cable
• Connector type: Toslink to Toslink (optical S/PDIF)
• Outer jacket diameter: 2.2 mm
• Length: 20 metres
• Signal: digital S/PDIF optical audio
• Properties: galvanic isolation, immunity to electromagnetic interference

How to use

Insert the Toslink connector firmly into the optical S/PDIF port of the source device and the other Toslink connector into the corresponding input of the receiving device. Ensure the connectors are aligned correctly and avoid bending the cable sharply near the terminations; a gentle bend radius preserves the optical fibre. No additional configuration is required on most consumer devices beyond selecting the optical input or output in the device settings.

Recommendations

For best results, route the cable with smooth curves and avoid tight bends or crushing forces. Keep the cable away from heat sources and sharp edges. If installing through wall cavities or conduits, verify that the conduit diameter accommodates the 2.2 mm jacket and allows for gentle pulling; use a fish tape if necessary. When connecting devices, power them off if practical to prevent accidental damage to ports, then select the optical input/output in device menus after connection.
