Panasonic SCR-lukulaite FZ-55 Front Ex

Field technicians and government agents rely on the Panasonic Toughbook FZ-55 for secure operations in demanding environments. The 55-SCR-FE1 smart card reader module installs directly into the front expansion area, enabling CAC, PIV, and other smart card authentication without external dongles. It reads ISO 7816 cards at up to 420 Kbps, supporting T=0 and T=1 protocols across 5V, 3V, and 1.8V cards. The internal USB 2.0 interface ensures seamless integration with the FZ-55's rugged chassis, while CCID compliance means no proprietary drivers are needed on Windows, Linux, or macOS. Built to withstand the same harsh conditions as the Toughbook itself, this module operates from -29°C to 60°C and is certified to CE, FCC, and RoHS standards. Whether you're logging into secure networks at a border checkpoint or signing digital documents in a patrol vehicle, this reader delivers reliable, FIPS 201-ready performance without compromising the FZ-55's durability.
