Patch-kaapeli Black Box EVE637-00M5 CAT6 GIGATRUE FTP, 5 m

Shielded FTP CAT6 patch cable Black Box EVE637-00M5, 5 m. Designed for Gigabit Ethernet networks, this GIGATRUE CAT6 cable features screened twisted pair construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and support data rates up to 1 Gbps. The cable's RJ45 terminations and consistent impedance make it suitable for reliable connections between switches, routers, patch panels and networked devices in offices, server rooms and home networks.

Advantages

The shielded FTP design improves noise immunity in environments with nearby power lines, fluorescent lighting or other sources of electromagnetic interference. GIGATRUE CAT6 construction ensures performance consistent with category 6 specifications, offering stable transmission for Gigabit Ethernet applications over a 5 m length. Flexible outer jacket and precise termination allow easy routing and secure connector fit in standard networking equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and routers within office networks
• Patch panels and structured cabling in server rooms
• Desktop workstations and networked peripherals
• Home network setups requiring shielded connections

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT6 (GIGATRUE)
• Shielding: FTP (foil shield around all pairs)
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ45 terminated
• Supported data rate: up to 1 Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Pair configuration: twisted pairs
• Jacket: flexible outer sheath suitable for horizontal and patch cabling

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network port of a switch, router, patch panel or device and the other RJ45 plug to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure electrical and mechanical connection. Route the 5 m cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it separated from heavy power cables where possible to minimize residual interference. For best results, test the link with a cable tester or network diagnostic tool after installation.

Recommendations

Use the shielded cable in environments with potential electromagnetic interference and maintain grounded components where applicable to benefit fully from the FTP shielding. Avoid excessive pulling force and tight bending radii during installation; store and deploy the cable at room temperature to preserve jacket flexibility and connector integrity.
