Perävaunupistorasia IWH 13‑napainen malli 010209 20A 12V iskunkestävä kotelo

The IWH 13‑Pole Trailer Socket Model 010209 is a 12V, 20A trailer connector designed to provide combined lighting and auxiliary circuits between a towing vehicle and a trailer. The unit uses the standard 13‑pin arrangement to accommodate tail, stop, indicator, reverse and permanent power circuits along with auxiliary outputs, and is housed in an impact‑resistant enclosure intended to withstand everyday mechanical stress and exposure during towing operations.

Advantages

This trailer socket offers a compact, serviceable solution for establishing a reliable electrical connection between vehicle and trailer. The 20A rating ensures sufficient current capacity for lighting and small auxiliary loads, while the impact‑resistant housing improves durability against shocks, drops and contact with road debris. The standard 13‑pin configuration supports separate circuits for multiple lighting and power functions, reducing interference between lamps and accessories and simplifying wiring upgrades or replacements.

How to use

Mount the socket on the vehicle’s rear panel at an accessible position and secure it with appropriate fasteners. Wire the socket to the vehicle wiring harness following the standard 13‑pin color and function scheme, ensuring correct connections for tail, stop, indicator, reverse and permanent power circuits. Use suitable gauge wiring and ring or spade terminals as required, and protect exposed connections with heat shrink or insulating tape. After wiring, test each function with a trailer or a test lamp to confirm correct operation and secure fit.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, route wiring away from sharp edges and heat sources, use corrosion‑resistant terminals, and periodically inspect the socket and contacts for damage or corrosion. Ensure the socket is properly sealed when not in use to prevent moisture ingress and clean contacts with appropriate contact cleaner if connection issues occur.
