PIR-liiketunnistin INNE Vanderbilt PDM-I12 — 12 m tunnistusalue, passiivinen infrapuna

The INNE Vanderbilt PDM-I12 is a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor designed for indoor presence detection with a detection range up to 12 m. The compact unit senses human movement across its coverage area and converts the detection event into a switch or alarm input for security systems, building automation or lighting control. Its simple operation and discreet design make it suitable for installation in offices, corridors, stairwells and other indoor areas where reliable motion detection is required.

Advantages

The sensor provides stable passive infrared detection that distinguishes moving heat sources within the monitored zone, offering consistent performance for presence and motion-triggered events. Its compact form factor and unobtrusive appearance allow flexible placement on walls or ceilings. Low power consumption and straightforward integration with alarm panels, automation controllers and lighting systems support energy-efficient applications and simplified wiring. The device is engineered for reliable operation in typical indoor environments.

How to use

Install the sensor according to recommended mounting height and orientation to ensure the 12 m detection zone covers the intended area. Connect the sensor output to the alarm panel, lighting controller or automation input using the appropriate wiring terminals; follow the system documentation for signal type and power requirements. After mounting and connection, perform a walk test across the coverage area to verify detection performance and adjust position if necessary. Routine inspection of the mounting and wiring helps maintain reliable operation.

Recommendations

Position the sensor to avoid direct exposure to HVAC vents, large windows with strong sunlight or heat-emitting equipment that can cause false triggers. For optimal coverage, avoid mounting behind obstructions and choose a mounting height consistent with the indoor application. Consult the integrating control panel or lighting system documentation for input compatibility and recommended wiring practices.
