Pitkittäissaha Bahco 2600-22-XT-HP

The Bahco 2600-22-XT-HP rip saw is a 55 cm hand saw engineered for efficient longitudinal cutting of wood. Its black stainless steel blade provides corrosion resistance and consistent cutting performance, while the lightweight 540 g construction supports controlled handling during prolonged use. The saw is intended for straight rip cuts along the grain and is suited for workshop, on-site and home woodworking tasks.

Advantages

The saw combines a long 55 cm blade with a thin kerf for faster material removal and reduced binding. The black stainless steel blade improves durability and resists rust, maintaining sharpness over a longer period. At 540 g the tool offers reduced user fatigue and improved maneuverability compared with heavier models. The handle and balance are designed to support steady, accurate cutting along the wood grain.

Suitable for

• Rip cutting softwood and hardwood boards along the grain
• On-site carpentry and framing tasks
• Workshop woodworking and joinery where straight rip cuts are required
• DIY projects involving cutting long boards or planks

Key specifications

• Blade length: 55 cm
• Blade material: black stainless steel
• Weight: 540 g
• Type: rip saw for longitudinal cuts

How to use

Secure the workpiece before starting and mark the cut line clearly. Position the saw so the teeth engage the wood at the start of the stroke, keeping the blade aligned with the marked line. Use steady, even strokes with controlled pressure, allowing the saw's teeth to remove material without forcing the blade. For long cuts, maintain a consistent rhythm and check alignment periodically; for finishing, reduce pressure to refine the cut edge.

Recommendations

Store the saw in a dry place to preserve the black stainless steel blade. Periodically clean pitch or resin from the teeth and lubricate lightly if necessary. Replace or sharpen the blade according to cutting frequency and material hardness to maintain straight, efficient rip cuts.
