PoE-sovitin MikroTik RBPOE 28V

The MikroTik RBPOE 28V is a low-cost passive Power over Ethernet adapter designed to supply power to a single passive PoE device over an Ethernet cable. It lets you connect a separate power source to the injector and then run a single Ethernet cable to a RouterBOARD device, reducing cable clutter in installations such as towers or other remote mounting locations. For RouterBOARD devices that accept 10–28V PoE powering, the adapter requires an input of at least 18V to allow for cable losses.

Advantages

The RBPOE provides a simple, single-cable power solution for compatible RouterBOARD devices, reducing the number of power lines needed at the installation site. Its passive design makes it cost-effective and easy to deploy where active PoE is not required. The unit supports a 28 V PoE output suitable for devices designed to accept that voltage range.

Suitable for

• Powering a single RouterBOARD device that supports passive PoE
• Reducing wiring to remote or elevated installations (towers, poles)
• Small network setups where separate power runs are impractical

Key specifications

• Brand: MikroTik
• Model / MPN: RBPOE
• PoE voltage: 28 V (passive PoE)
• Ethernet ports (RJ-45): 1 data+power output

How to use

Connect an appropriate DC power source to the RBPOE input, ensuring the supply provides at least 18 V to compensate for voltage drop in the Ethernet cable when powering devices that accept 10–28 V. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the injector output to the RouterBOARD device's Ethernet port. Verify the target device supports passive 28 V PoE before connecting, and route cables to minimise exposure and mechanical strain.

Recommendations

Use suitably rated cables and a power supply that meets voltage and current requirements of the connected RouterBOARD; for longer cable runs consider higher input voltage or thicker gauge cable to reduce voltage drop. Do not connect to devices that require active 802.3af/at PoE unless explicitly stated as compatible.
