Porraspora c.k tools T3013 HSS TiN 6–32 mm, 3-pintainen varsi

The c.k tools T3013 step drill bit is a high-speed steel (HSS) tool with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, covering a range of hole sizes from 6 mm to 32 mm in progressively larger steps. Its 3-flat shank is designed for secure clamping in chucks and holders, while the stepped geometry enables drilling and enlarging holes in sheet metal, plastics and other thin materials with a single tool. The TiN finish reduces friction and wear, helping to maintain cutting performance and extending service life in workshop and on-site applications.

Advantages

The TiN coating lowers heat build-up and improves wear resistance compared with uncoated HSS, while the stepped profile allows rapid enlargement of existing holes without changing bits. The 3-flat shank improves grip in standard drill chucks and quick-change holders to reduce slippage and vibration. Overall design reduces chatter and provides consistent cutting action across the full 6–32 mm range.

How to use

Secure the step drill bit in a compatible chuck or quick-change holder, ensuring the 3-flat shank sits firmly to prevent rotation. Start drilling at low to moderate speed and apply steady axial pressure; the stepped design will progressively cut each diameter. For best results when enlarging holes, begin with the smallest step that will enter the existing hole and advance through subsequent steps until the required diameter is achieved. Use coolant or cutting oil on metal to reduce heat and improve chip evacuation; for plastics, lower speeds and light pressure help avoid melting or deformation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment and clamp workpieces securely. Select moderate rotational speeds for larger diameters and apply cutting fluid on ferrous metals. Inspect the TiN coating and cutting edges before use; replace the bit when wear affects cutting quality.
