ProXtend SC-SC UPC OM2 Duplex 3M kuitukaapeli

The ProXtend SC-SC UPC OM2 Duplex 3M fiber cable is a 3-meter multimode patch cable designed for high-speed, long-distance network links within local area networks. It features SC connectors on both ends, a 50 µm glass core (OM2) and a duplex configuration that supports full duplex communication. The cable is jacketed in LSZH material and rated for operation in temperatures from -20 to 70 °C, providing reliable connectivity for structured cabling and fiber backbone installations.

Advantages

The ProXtend SC-SC UPC OM2 Duplex cable offers consistent multimode performance with low insertion loss thanks to UPC-polished SC connectors and a 50 µm core. Its LSZH jacket reduces toxic gas emission in case of fire and makes the cable suitable for indoor installations. Duplex construction supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, and the 3 m length simplifies patching between equipment in racks and cabinets.

Suitable for

• Data center patching and switch-to-switch connections
• Local area network (LAN) backbone links
• Server room and telecom rack interconnects
• Multimode fiber installations using OM2 (50 µm) standards

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before installation. Route the duplex SC-SC cable between patch panels, switches or transceivers, ensuring appropriate bend radii and strain relief. Plug SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports until they click into place, verifying link lights or using a tester to confirm optical continuity and correct channel mapping for transmit and receive.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this OM2 duplex cable for multimode links up to the distance supported by OM2 specifications in your equipment, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and store spare cables coiled without sharp kinks. Clean connector endfaces before mating to minimize insertion loss and back-reflection.
