Puhelinkaapeli ShiverPeaks S/CONN 2x2x0,6 J-Y(ST)Y — 20 m

ShiverPeaks S/CONN 2x2x0.6 J-Y(ST)Y — 20 m is a shielded telephone cable intended for indoor voice and telephony installations. The cable contains two twisted pairs with 0.6 mm conductors and a full braid shield, enclosed in a PVC jacket. It is suitable for analog and digital telephony, private branch exchanges (PBX) and internal building voice networks where reduced electromagnetic interference and consistent signal quality are required.

Advantages

The cable’s braided shielding reduces external electromagnetic interference and crosstalk between pairs, supporting reliable voice transmission. Twisted-pair construction with 0.6 mm conductors provides a stable conductor cross-section for low-loss signal transfer over typical indoor runs. The PVC outer jacket offers mechanical protection and flame-retardant properties appropriate for concealed or surface-mounted indoor routing. The design balances flexibility for installation with sufficient robustness for fixed building wiring.

Suitable for

• Analog telephone lines in homes and offices
• Digital telephony and ISDN-type voice connections
• Private branch exchange (PBX) extensions and interconnects
• Internal building voice networks and concealed wiring in walls

Key specifications

• Number of pairs: two twisted pairs (2x2)
• Conductor diameter: 0.6 mm
• Shielding: overall braided (ST) shield
• Outer sheath: PVC jacket suitable for indoor installation
• Cable length: 20 meters

How to use

Route the cable along planned paths for telephony within the building, avoiding proximity to high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic sources wherever possible. For concealed installations, follow local electrical and fire codes when running the PVC‑sheathed cable inside walls or conduits. Strip outer jacket and shield carefully to expose the twisted pairs; when terminating to sockets or punch-down blocks, maintain twist as close to the termination point as practical to preserve signal integrity. Ensure the braid shield is properly connected to earth/ground at a single point when required by the system design to minimise interference.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short- to medium-length indoor voice runs where shielded performance is desired; avoid outdoor exposure or direct burial. When connecting to PBX or telecommunications equipment, confirm connector compatibility and follow manufacturer termination guidelines. If run near electrical equipment, increase separation distance or use additional shielding/grounding measures to maintain signal quality.
