Bosch PRO PC Plus 68 mm hole saw starter set is a single-piece cutting tool designed to create precise circular openings in materials such as wood and plasterboard. The 68 mm diameter saw is intended for use with compatible drill drivers and hole saw arbors, providing a compact option for tradespeople and DIYers who need a reliable cutter for installations of pipes, cables and fittings.

Advantages

The hardened cutting edge and tooth geometry are engineered to deliver clean cuts and reduced tear-out in common building materials. As a compact one-piece starter set, it is easy to store and transport and helps reduce downtime when working on small to medium installation tasks. Compatibility with standard arbors and drill drivers ensures quick mounting and secure operation.

Suitable for

• Drilling circular openings for pipes and conduits in wood and plasterboard
• Creating holes for cable entry and electrical fittings
• Preparing cutouts for ventilation and small ducting
• On-site maintenance and retrofit work in residential and light commercial settings

Key specifications

• Cutting diameter: 68 mm
• Design: single-piece hole saw starter configuration
• Compatible with standard hole saw arbors and drill drivers
• Intended materials: wood, plasterboard and similar soft building materials

How to use

Select a compatible arbor and securely mount the 68 mm hole saw to your drill driver following the arbor manufacturer's instructions. Mark the center point of the desired opening, use an appropriate pilot bit or center punch if needed, then position the hole saw and apply steady pressure at low-to-moderate speed to start the cut. Maintain control, clear debris periodically, and complete the cut while keeping the tool perpendicular to the work surface. After cutting, remove any burrs or splinters from the opening.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves. Match the drill speed and feed pressure to the material being cut; lower speeds are generally better for plasterboard to avoid tearing, while moderate speeds suit most wood types. Ensure the arbor and drill are rated for the saw diameter and material to maintain safe and efficient operation.
