Reppu Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW

The Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW is a photographer-focused backpack that combines a dedicated camera compartment with flexible storage for outdoor gear. Designed to carry a pro DSLR with a 70-200mm lens attached, this pack accommodates photography equipment and personal items in a balanced layout. The green and grey exterior, padded shoulder straps and durable, weather-resistant materials provide protection and comfort for field use.

Advantages

This backpack offers a secure rear-access camera compartment that keeps gear protected while on the move, plus an open main compartment for clothing or larger items. Padded dividers permit configurable organization for camera bodies, lenses and accessories. Integrated weather protection and robust materials increase gear safety in wet or rough conditions. The ergonomic shoulder strap and back panel are designed for carrying stability during longer treks.

Suitable for

• Outdoor and travel photographers needing protection for a DSLR and a 70–200mm lens
• Day hikes or short multi-day trips where camera and personal items are combined
• Photographers who prefer rear-access camera compartments for security
• Users who require weather-resistant storage and comfortable carrying

When it may not be suitable

The Flipside Trek BP 450 AW is optimized for a camera-centric load with additional open storage; it is not intended as a specialist carry-on for large video rigs or for users who require instant front access to camera gear. Photographers needing a very compact street camera bag or a large expedition pack for extended multiweek trips may find the capacity and layout limiting.

Key specifications

• Weight: 1.69 kg
• Compatible equipment: pro DSLR with telephoto lens (fits 70–200mm mounted)
• Storage layout: dedicated padded camera compartment plus open main compartment for clothing and gear
• Carry system: padded shoulder strap and ergonomic back panel for stability
• Materials: durable, weather-resistant fabric and protective padding
• Colour: Green, Grey

How to use

Store camera bodies and lenses inside the padded camera compartment using the configurable dividers to separate fragile gear. Place clothing, tripod or other adventure items in the open main compartment and use external straps or pockets for quick-access items. Access the camera compartment from the rear for secure retrieval, and deploy the integrated weather cover when conditions require extra protection. Adjust shoulder straps and load distribution for comfortable carrying on longer walks.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify fit for your specific camera bodies and lenses, especially if you use oversized telephoto or battery grips
• Decide whether a rear-access layout suits your shooting workflow versus front-access bags
• Consider the overall pack volume if you plan to carry extensive clothing or multiple bulky items

Recommendations

Use the Flipside Trek BP 450 AW for field shoots where protection and weather resistance are priorities. Configure dividers for fast lens changes, keep valuable items close to your back for security, and use the weather cover during rain. Regularly clean and dry the pack after wet use to maintain materials and water resistance.
