Rinnakkaistulostinkaapeli ShiverPeaks 75607 1,2 m USB-Centronics

ShiverPeaks Parallel Printer Cable 1.2 m USB-Centronics provides a direct wired connection between modern USB hosts and legacy Centronics-parallel printers. Designed for environments where parallel-port printing is required but native parallel interfaces are not available, this cable enables data transfer to Centronics-equipped devices such as receipt and label printers, dot-matrix and other parallel printers. The 1.2 metre length offers a practical balance between reach and cable management in office, repair or production settings.

Advantages

The cable supports reliable point-to-point data transfer without adapters or intermediate hubs, reducing setup complexity when connecting a USB host to a Centronics-parallel device. Its fixed length and dedicated USB-to-Centronics wiring ensure signal integrity for typical document and label printing tasks. The design is suitable for integration into legacy-system workflows and for technicians who need a simple, plug-and-print connection to parallel printers.

Suitable for

• Connecting a USB-equipped computer, laptop or POS system to a Centronics-parallel printer
• Transferring print jobs to label printers, receipt printers and dot-matrix printers with Centronics ports
• Use in offices, repair workshops, warehouses and environments with legacy printing equipment

Key specifications

• Connector A: USB (host side) compatible with standard USB ports
• Connector B: Centronics-parallel interface for legacy printers and peripherals
• Length: approximately 1.2 metres suitable for desktop and short-reach installations
• Cable type: fixed, single-run USB-to-parallel connection without intermediate converters

How to use

Connect the USB end of the cable to the host device and the Centronics end to the parallel printer while both devices are powered off or in an idle state. Power on the printer and then the host, install any necessary drivers on the host system if required by the operating system, and select the connected printer in the host's print settings. For reliable operation, confirm the printer is set to the correct interface mode and that print job settings match the target device's capabilities.

Recommendations

For stable performance, avoid routing the cable near strong electromagnetic sources or power cables. Use the 1.2 m length for short-distance connections; for longer runs consider relocating devices or using certified signal-extending solutions. When working with legacy printers, keep device drivers and firmware up to date and test print jobs after connection to verify compatibility.
