Riser-kortti INTEL FCP1URISER1 PCIe 1U palvelinlaajennukseen

INTEL FCP1URISER1 PCIe 1U riser card is engineered for compact 1U server chassis to enable installation of low-profile PCIe expansion cards. It provides a secure electrical and mechanical interface between the motherboard backplane and expansion cards, allowing network adapters, storage controllers and other compatible PCIe devices to be added in space-constrained rack servers. The design focuses on alignment with standard 1U slot geometry and on retaining signal integrity for standard PCIe devices.

Advantages

This PCIe riser card offers a low-profile form factor suitable for shallow chassis while maintaining stable connectivity and alignment with the server backplane. It enables flexible allocation of PCIe lanes without modifying the server motherboard, supports easy installation and replacement of expansion cards, and reduces the need for larger chassis when additional I/O or storage controllers are required. The metal and connector mounting points are intended to provide mechanical support and reliable contact under typical data center operating conditions.

Suitable for

• Adding low-profile NICs to increase network ports in a 1U server
• Installing RAID or NVMe storage controller cards in limited-height systems
• Deploying small form-factor accelerator or offload cards compatible with 1U riser geometry
• Server configurations where additional PCIe expansion is required without changing chassis size

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U low-profile riser card designed for rack-mounted servers
• Interface: PCI Express connector compatible with standard PCIe cards (low-profile mechanical configuration)
• Mounting: bracket and connector alignment for secure installation within 1U chassis
• Compatibility: intended for use with servers that accept riser-style PCIe expansion in 1U height
• Construction: mixed metal and PCB assembly for mechanical stability and signal routing

How to use

Power down the server and follow ESD precautions before installation. Remove the server top cover and locate the riser slot area on the backplane or motherboard. Align the riser card with the appropriate slot and firmly seat the connector into the backplane socket, ensuring the bracket fits into the 1U chassis cutout. Secure the riser with the provided screws or retention hardware, then install the low-profile PCIe expansion card into the riser slot and fasten it to the bracket. Replace the server cover and power on, then verify that the system BIOS/firmware recognizes the installed card and that drivers are loaded in the operating system as required.

Recommendations

Use only compatible low-profile PCIe cards specified for 1U riser configurations and verify chassis clearance and airflow impact before deployment. Follow server manufacturer guidelines for riser placement and firmware settings, and perform driver and firmware updates for connected expansion devices to ensure stable operation in data center environments.
