Älypuhelinmikrofoni RØDE VideoMic Me

The RØDE VideoMic Me is a compact, lightweight directional microphone designed for smartphones. It connects via a 3.5 mm TRRS jack to the phone's microphone/headphone socket and includes a flexible mounting bracket that fits most phones for use with the main or front (selfie) camera. A rear 3.5 mm headphone output enables audio monitoring and playback while the microphone remains attached. The package also contains a furry windshield for outdoor or adverse-weather recording.

Advantages

The VideoMic Me provides improved directionality and clearer audio compared with built-in smartphone microphones, with a sensitivity of −33 dB and a frequency response of 100–20,000 Hz. Its wired 3.5 mm connection ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices that have a TRRS input, and the lightweight design (34 g) keeps the microphone unobtrusive during recording. The included furry windshield reduces wind noise for outdoor shoots.

Suitable for

• Vlogging and selfie videos
• Interviews and on-the-go reporting
• Content creation for social media
• Field recording where directional audio is required

Recommendations

Use a compatible recording app that supports external microphones and headphone monitoring. Ensure the microphone is positioned toward the sound source and secured firmly to avoid handling noise. Remove the windshield only when recording indoors or in controlled acoustic environments.
