Ruotsalainen putkipihdit NWS 167S-2-550 punainen 570 mm

The Swedish pipe wrench NWS 167S-2-550 Red 570 mm is a heavy-duty hand tool designed for gripping and turning pipes and cylindrical fittings. Constructed from chromium-vanadium steel, this pipe wrench combines strength and resistance to wear. At 570 mm in length and a mass suited for robust leverage, it is intended for professional and domestic plumbing, installation and maintenance tasks where a reliable mechanical grip is required.

Advantages

The chromium-vanadium steel construction provides high tensile strength and improved durability under repeated torque. The long handle delivers greater leverage for loosening and tightening threaded pipe joints with less user effort. The bright red finish increases visibility in work areas and helps locate the tool quickly among other equipment. The jaw design offers secure contact with round and hexagonal profiles to reduce slippage during operation.

Suitable for

• Plumbing installations and repairs on metal pipes
• Maintenance and servicing of heating and water systems
• General mechanical assembly where strong pipe grip is needed
• Workshop and construction site use for joining or disassembling threaded fittings

Key specifications

• Overall length: 570 mm
• Primary material: chromium-vanadium steel
• Weight: approximately 2.57 kg
• Handle finish: high-visibility red coating
• Jaw type: adjustable serrated gripping jaws for round and hex profiles

How to use

Position the wrench so the serrated jaws seat firmly on the pipe or fitting, then adjust the jaw opening to obtain full contact without excessive gap. Apply steady force to the handle in the required direction to turn the pipe or fitting; use the length of the handle to increase leverage for stubborn joints. Avoid sudden, sharp impacts that could damage the jaws or the workpiece. After use, clean any debris from the jaws and store the wrench in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection. Do not use the wrench as a hammer or pry bar. For corroded or severely damaged fittings, consider applying penetrating lubricant and use controlled, incremental force to avoid rounding the fastener. Regularly inspect the gripping surfaces for wear and replace the tool when teeth are excessively worn to maintain safe and effective operation.
