Sähkörele Merten MEG5161-0000, metallinen, 220–230 V AC, 50–60 Hz, 10 A, kaapeli 2×2,5 mm²

Merten MEG5161-0000 is a compact electrical relay with a metallic finish designed for switching single-phase AC loads. The relay operates from a 220–230 V AC control supply at 50–60 Hz and is rated to switch currents up to 10 A. Connections are made via a two-conductor cable suitable for conductor cross-sections of 2×2.5 mm². The device is intended for installation where a small, robust relay is required to control lighting circuits, small appliances or parts of building automation systems.

Advantages

The relay combines a metal housing with a standard control voltage range, providing mechanical robustness and consistent electrical performance. Its 10 A switching rating covers many lighting and low-power appliance applications. The supported 2×2.5 mm² cable size allows straightforward wiring with common cable types while ensuring secure conductor connection. The device's compatibility with 50–60 Hz supplies makes it suitable for use in regions with either mains frequency.

Suitable for

• Switching domestic and commercial lighting circuits
• Controlling small appliances and non-critical loads
• Integration into basic building automation or control panels
• Replacing or upgrading compact relay modules in existing installations

Key specifications

• Control voltage: 220–230 V AC
• Frequency: 50–60 Hz
• Rated switching current: 10 A
• Housing finish: metallic
• Connection: two-conductor cable, suitable for 2×2.5 mm² conductors
• Intended for single-phase AC switching

How to use

Mount the relay in accordance with applicable electrical installation rules and local regulations. Ensure the supply is de-energized before making connections. Connect the incoming phase and neutral conductors to the load side and the control supply to the relay's control terminals using cable with 2.5 mm² conductors. After wiring, restore power and verify correct switching operation with the intended load. If integrating into an automation system, follow the system wiring diagram and confirm compatibility with control signals and loads.

Recommendations

Use the relay within its rated current and voltage limits and protect circuits against overcurrent with appropriate protective devices. Avoid switching highly inductive or motor loads without additional suppression or suitable contactors. Perform periodic inspections of wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
